N e w Y o r k .
Hello everybody. I’d like to introduce you to my new website and blog. My website is a platform where I’m sharing my photographs which I made on my journey around the world. The main reason for me to create a website was, that I wanted to share my stories, my feelings and travels with the world because I made so many unforgettable thing which I definitely cannot keep just for me.
Something about my journey, which I started in November 2014. I flew to Australia, classic , but in my opinion there re two ways of travelling in Australia. There is this backpacking lifestyle, working on farms and living in hostels. And the other way, creating your own home, settling at one place and working in a local bar-living the Australian way of living.
I took the second one. I was living in Sydney, Darlinghurst. It was a beautiful area with lots of cafes, bars and creativity. I almost spend all my time in Sydney. It became my new home - I felt great there. But more about my time in Australia is gonna come in another blogpost later.
Anyway, I moved to Piha, New Zealand. Piha was a tiny village directly at the west coast of there northern island of New Zealand. Piha changed my life completely. It was a very spiritual time, lots of surfing, meditating and I began to find my love for photography.
That’s where it all started.
The next stop of my journey was Hawaii.
Hawaii…It really is paradise. It’s insanely beautiful there. I travelled to 4 out of 7 islands and surfed the biggest waves in my life, did lots of trails (the Stairways to Heaven included). I will upload many posts about Hawaii in the future. Be excited.
My next destination was Los Angeles, with a short trip to San Diego where I surfed with my canadian friends from SurfTheGreats and finally I stayed here in New York.
And now I’m back in the hood.
I’m sitting in one of my favourite cafes, drinking my Cold Brew coffee and writing this article. It feels great to be back in town.
However, this time I’m staying with my family and in some kind, I got the mission to show them the city, which is really nice because they will see the great areas. Yesterday we started our day at my favourite place in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Toby’s Estate Coffee Rostery. We had a cold brew coffee and just enjoyed this tasty smell of fresh roasted coffee beans in there. Williamsburg is place full of creativity and passion to art. There is a lot of street art in the streets, many design shops, unreal restaurants where you even get crazy because of their beautiful interior designs and lot more stuff to enjoy.
After the coffee break we went to my favourite bagel place and had a bacon and cheddar-cheese bagel with extra bacon and cream cheese. That was heaven.
Afterwards we went to this beach in Williamsburg where you have an amazing view about the skyline. A little shoutout goes to my friends from “Three Mosquets” who designed this black t-shirt. My father wanted to see Manhattans skyline, actually the cbd side, with the sunsetting lights. so we took the ferry to staten island and had some brews over there because there isn’t that much what you can do over there.
On our way back we had this really nice view at all those skyscrapers in beautiful colours.
That view made me realise that I’m back in New York. And another thing…When I just arrived in Manhattan, a friend of mine called me and asked me if I wanna go a Flight Facilities concert at WebsterHall. That’s what I did last night. The concert was absolutely fantastic. these guys were killing it. Unreal.
I can’t wait whats happening next. Super excited.
